InM and Concern Worldwide will organise a joint webinar on “Covid-19 Impact on the Rural Poor and MFIs: Innovations in Resilience Building" focusing on the nature and level of impact of Covid-19 on rural poor households and microfinance sector of Bangladesh. The webinar session will take place on Thursday, 05 November 2020 from 11.30 am to 1.00 p.m. (Bangladesh time). Two papers will be presented during the session, one from InM entitled "Covid-19 and MFIs in Bangladesh: Innovations in Resilience Building" and the other from Concern Worldwide entitled “Empowering Women and Youth through Graduation and Financial Inclusion”.
The webinar will be chaired by Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman, InM. Honourable panelists include Prof. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Bangabandhu Chair, University of Dhaka and Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank; Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Professor, Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka and Dr. Gretta Ftizgerald, Director Programme, Concern Worldwide Bangladesh.
