New Training Modules and Training Programmes
The Education and Training Division has recently prepared two new training modules on ‘Training of Trainers (TOT) on WCAD Programme Implementation’ and ‘WCAD Programme Implementation at the Field Level for the Branch Managers/Senior Staff of Partner MFIs’. Using these modules, online TOT programme for 20 Master Trainers of 10 partner MFIs was conducted during 5–9 September 2021. Among others, the module covered SDG6, planning for safe water supply and hygienic sanitation, effects of climate change on water supply and sanitation, features of the WCAD model, monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation credit disbursement techniques, training methods and materials for WSS programme, and other aspects of water and sanitation loan products.
The programme was followed by virtual daylong trainings on WCAD Programme Implementation at the Filed Level for the Branch Managers/Senior Staff of Partner MFIs in which a total of 1,040 participants attended. The main contents covered planning for safe water and sanitation, features of WCAD model and its implementation, issues in health and hygiene relating to WSS, role of household members in ensuring safe WSS, and other aspects of sustainable water supply and sanitation at the household and community level.
