Mid-term Evaluation of the Effectiveness of ENRICH Programme at the Household level of 21 Unions of Bangladesh

InM and PKSF jointly organised a seminar entitled “Mid-term Evaluation of the Effectiveness of ENRICH Programme at the Household level of 21 Unions of Bangladesh” on September 07, 2014 at PKSF Conference Room – 307, PKSF Bhaban. Professor Siddiqur Rahman Osmani, School of Economics, University of Ulster, and Visiting Fellow, InM was the keynote speaker of the presentation. The objective of the seminar was to evaluate the progress of the Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capacities of Poor Households towards Elimination of their Poverty (ENRICH) programme of PKSF.

The objective of the ENRICH programme is overall household development of the poor based on a ‘One Union One PO’ principle. The aim is to alleviate poverty not only through income generation but also through an integrated approach targeting other crucial aspects of human life including health, education, youth development, community development, etc.

Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman, InM, and PKSF chaired the seminar. Professor M.A. Baqui Khalily, Executive Director, InM, and Professor Nazrul Islam, Director (Research and Knowledge Management), InM, and Dr. Jashim Uddin, Deputy Managing Director (Admin. and Finance), PKSF graced the event with their presence. Representatives of several Partner Organizations (PO) involved with ENRICH attended the seminar. Most members of the research team of the evaluation, research staff and top-level officials of InM and PKSF were present at the seminar.
