Upcoming Training Courses

Microfinance sector in Bangladesh is growing exponentially in terms of loan disbursement, loan outstanding, savings mobilisation, and in offering diversified products and services which necessitate prudent risk management initiatives at the operational level, stepping with appropriate strategic and business planning, and building positive staff morale of the NGO-MFIs towards sustainable financial inclusion. In line with these pressing demands of the sector, InM has developed four specialised courses for mid-senior level staff members of NGO-MFIs which are being offered by InM.

 

1. Risk Management at Operational Levels for MFIs

This three-day course is designed to help microfinance institutions develop and improve the quality of their own risk management processes and focuses on problem prevention and early problem identification and control. The course is infused with guidelines for establishing operational activities that assist an MFI to identify its vulnerabilities, design and implement controls and monitor the effectiveness of controls with special focus on operational, financial, regulatory and strategic risks.

 

2. Preparing MFIs’ Operational Business Plan at Branch Level

The training is intended to enable the participants to develop market driven, appropriate and sustainable financial products and prepare business plan for their microfinance programmes to maintain growth, efficiency and productivity of the programmes. The three-day course primarily focuses on designing financial products, preparing programme operational plan geared in the direction of microfinance credit delivery process and microfinance business plan.

 

3. Building Workplace Attitude and Values for Enhancing Organisational Commitment

This three-day course is designed to indoctrinate the employees to bathe them in the institution’s culture to cultivate their commitment to the organisation, its mission and its clients, and to learn and practice the social skills needed to perform their jobs. To retain quality staff members and to ensure that they grow and develop as the organisation evolves, it is necessary to undergo with this type of training to upkeep the staff morale so that they become good team players and get motivated to retain in the job and above all own the organisation.

 

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of Monitoring and Auditing for MFIs

This three-day course is intended to sharpen participants’ skills in reviewing and interpreting operational performance through using key performance indicators (KPI). Through this tailor-made course, participants will also be able to assess financial risks inherent in microfinance institutions and choose strategies to improve performance for sustainability. The programme incorporates experiential and adult learning principles, ensuring that participants can apply key concepts to their work and translate new knowledge into results. Interactive exercises and case studies drawn from microfinance sector help to maximise the learnings.
